Capturing raw, real, and authentic moments while ensuring I am having a good time is my jam. At my core, I have always been the sentimental type. Holding onto things even when they are so ratty... ensuring photos get taken before the night ends. I cherish little things so deeply in my own life that it translates to how I craft and curate capturing moments for others. The first time I picked up a camera I was just a kid in a yearbook class. I didn't know much of what I was doing at first but I knew it was something I really enjoyed. Ten years later and I guess I never really put the camera back down

Motherhood, Jesus, and being a wife are my favorite things in the world but photography comes right at the end of that list. The first time I picked up a camera was just for fun. Ten years later and I guess I never really put the camera back down.

This passion has lead me to meet so many wonderful people and experience all kinds of things. You sometimes hear the quote "it's just business" and my desire has been to make my business the complete opposite of that.

I am about making things personal and getting to celebrate life with you during our time together and beyond! From weddings, to babies, to your annual family photos - my goal is to be present for the big and the small moments. To capture the big and the little loves in your life.

So often I feel like investing in photos can be a stressful time. Whether it is worrying about your outfit or feeling like you are no good in front of a camera, they can feel like more of a burden than an exciting thing. My goal is to take all that stress and worry away from you as we work together. My focus in every session I go into is to just have fun and make you feel as comfortable as possible.

I've never been one to go half in on anything so when you book with me, you're getting a bestie right away. I want each person to know I truly am here for it all. Need a chaos coordinator, a personal shopper for the right clothing, a wedding planner, a professional tag player for your kids or just a person to lean on?

My hope is that at the end of our time together, you feel the joy, excitement, and every emotion of the session we captured together!

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form - we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • That is what I am here for! I truly believe photos should not be a burden but they should be about having fun. The biggest thing I need from you to make your shoot a success is to TRUST me. The rest will follow.

  • There will be travel fees anywhere outside of 40 miles from my location depending on distance. Should an overnight stay be required for your event, a base rate will be added onto your investment to cover travel and accommodations for Arrie Bates + associate photographer.
